The Dacia Duster has been officially recognised as the UK’s most satisfying new car to own, taking the number one spot in the Driver Power 2024 survey – the country's biggest car ownership opinion poll.
As well as beating every other new car on sale in the UK to the ultimate ‘Car of the Year’ title, the Duster also topped the hard-fought ‘Best Small SUV’ category for the second consecutive year.
The monumental achievement comes hot on the heels of the iconic SUV racking up over 100,000 sales in the UK since it arrived on UK shores in 2013, and builds on its impressive ranking of 4th overall in last year's Driver Power survey.
Providing unparalleled insight into what it’s like to live with today’s cars, the survey, open to owners of vehicles under three years old, covers everything from the buying experience to driving dynamics and reliability to real-world running costs. The survey’s results confirmed that the Duster more than lives up to its promise of being a durable, fun to own car that offers a unique blend of unrivalled value and usability.
On the Duster’s unbeatable performance in the latest Driver Power survey, Paul Barker, Editor of Auto Express, said: "Dacia has proved once more that high customer satisfaction doesn't have to mean high cost, and the Duster, a car we've always rated highly, is a brilliant ownership proposition. Across the board, owners are delighted with their Dusters, and it's a worthy winner of Driver Power 2024 as the nation's number one car to own."
Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, added: “We know how good our cars are, but the real proof comes from those who own, drive and live with them. Duster’s unbeatable performance in the Driver Power survey shows that it delivers what we promise, day in and day out, being made for exciting adventures and demonstrating how you can have both robust quality and exceptional value. With the new model just months away, the current Duster leaves a fantastic legacy with this award showing just how capable it is and why it’s so iconic.”
Now in its 11th year of being officially on sale in the UK, and on the cusp of the launch of the new version later this year, the Duster continues to go from strength-to-strength. A true automotive icon, the Duster has won the hearts of a broad range of private and business customers, including emergency first responders, charities and those that need a rugged and versatile car that is built to last and won’t break the bank.
The renowned model’s appeal is destined to continue too, with over 13,000 drivers having already registered their interest in the All-New Duster ahead of its launch later this year.
