Hat-trick of Renault and Dacia awards a great achievement
Mitchells Lowestoft is celebrating an unprecedented hat-trick of awards from Renault and Dacia UK.
The garage was judged to be the UK’s number one Renault dealer, Dacia dealer runner-up and also won a Renault customer excellence award for its 2024 performance over a range of key business criteria.
The three awards were presented at the Renault Group UK conference and dealer training and experience day for the newly-revived all-electric Renault 5 at Millbrook Proving Ground car test track at Bedford.
The Mitchells team was also rewarded with a visit to the Lowestoft dealership by Renault UK managing director Adam Wood, who is also country head of Renault Group UK, and network operations director Ben Fish.
The awards are the latest in a long line of honours, proudly displayed on two windowsills in the Long Road showroom, for the top-performing dealership which was number one Dacia dealer and number two Renault dealer in 2023.
Delighted dealer principal Matt Huke-Jenner said: “We were the only dealer to pick up three awards. A hat-trick of awards is unheard of.”
Dealership of the year contenders are tracked and assessed monthly against 10 key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business including retail market share, sales, service, customer feedback, service contracts, vans performance, aftersales and parts.
Mitchells has won top Renault or Dacia UK dealership awards every year since awards were presented for each brand. Before that, it had taken the UK combined dealership title.
The hat-trick of awards takes the dealership’s achievements to a new level.
Matt said: “We’re over the moon – it’s excellent.
“It’s testament to all the staff’s hard work because it’s judged across the whole business. Everyone matters and has an input to our success, including all the unsung heroes.
“Customers build relationships with our staff and we focus on and talk about these KPIs.
“We get a score card every month and all our staff are engaged in it. We know where we sit in the country and what our trend is.”
Despite its latest award successes, Mitchells, which also has sites in Great Yarmouth and Halesworth, will not rest on its laurels this year.
“We’ll be doing our best to hang on to our crown,” vowed Matt.
